Section 1. Amendments to these by-laws may be made from time to time. The method of amendment shall be by submitting in writing to the Secretary the exact text of the proposed amendment at least fifteen days prior to any Annual Meeting or Special Meeting, and the Secretary shall then give written notice by mail of the proposed amendment at least seven days prior to such meeting. An alternative method of amending these by-laws is for the Council to approve the proposed amendment at two consecutive General Meetings of the Council. All votes on amending the by-laws shall require a two-thirds majority of the membership eligible to cast a vote.
Section 2. In the event this Council shall become approved charitable or civic organization by the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America and/or the State of Wisconsin whereby contributions are tax deductible, only amendments changing such status may be made.
